Nothing but facts, he's overrated by saints fans. Saints fans are some of the biggest homers in sports, frick it's sad.

Sean Payton has never been a great HC. Football gas 3 phases and he's only been good at getting 1 together and even that one has been trash the past 2 years. Hand over PC to Carmichael and focus on your entire team.

And just having a player like Meachem on your roster because he can block shows me all I need to know about him. Constantly sending trash our there over younger guys who other teams GIVE A CHANCE to break out.

Won the SB and is gonna live off that for a long time in Louisiana, elsewhere he's just a great offensive name at this point. Brees makes him look good 9 years later not the other way around.

I hate the Falcons but would jump on the bandwagon if they hired him.

Let's examine. So i put in a google search, "top 10 NFL head coaches". Surely they'll have some lists not made by Saints fans, right? Ok, lets look at it

Sean Payton #2, NFL.com

#4

Payton #4, rotoworld

#4, sporting news

#5, bleacher report

#4, cbs.com

Yahoo.com, #4

derp, derp, derp, dem silly local Saints fans!!!!!

Wat? He's universally considered to be a top 5 coach, which he is. He's rated appropriately IMO

I'm always amazed how sensitive fans are to one season.

One season of playing well...the head coach is top five!
One season of playing poorly...the head coach is overrated!

Look at the fricking patterns over time.

Idk. He won a super bowl and his team blew chunks when he was suspended

2011 - Team is awesome
2012 - Team sucks
2013- Team is awesome again

So probably not ovrrated.

Flores should be in HOF

But Payton is a very good coach I would trade Ivy for him in a heartbeat.

How so? Saints are favored to win the division.

But they will be lucky?? You should move to Vegas.

Before his suspension just a couple years ago Sean Payton was the most winningest coach since he became HC of the Saints in 2006. No other team in the entire NFL had more wins.

And since his suspension his teams has been embarrassing on the road at like what 1-9 in our last 10.

That's a horrible stigma to be carrying

don't think i'd call last year "Awesome"... so what if we won a playoff game, we weren't winning the Super Bowl and we knew that before the playoffs

now 2011 we were winning the Super Bowl and it took a miracle finish to beat us. that team was awesome
