vs Sam Houston State 13:08 remaining in the 4th quarter. (49-0)

Notice the Sam Houston fans make up the most populated area of any in this picture
vs ULM at the start of the 4th quarter (24-0)

vs Mississippi State 12:39 remaining in the 4th quarter (16-34)

vs New Mexico State 7 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter. (56-7)

(excuse the picture from NMSU. Best I could dig up at the moment.)

Apparently LSU fans can only be bothered to hang around for a close game. There's only 7 opportunities per year to spend the evening in Tiger Stadium. You've got 3 remaining. Do better! Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium didn't earn its reputation by being 70% empty at the start of the 4th quarter. In recent seasons, Tiger Stadium has been more noted for clearing out ASAP after half time than it has for its intimidating atmosphere. Tiger fans can do better.

and if LSU was playing close games against the Sam Houston's and ULM's of the world, fans would bitch. They blow them out and fans bitch about quality of opponent and why they shouldn't be bothered to stick around for a blowout.

I agree. Spoke to family member with 2:00 left in the FIRST QUARTER. He was walking to his dorm because all his friends left the game a few minutes earlier.

if anyone was in there they would just be booing, so it's pretty much a catch 22.

I think it has been well established that Tiger Stadium is not the environment it used to be.

Our fans are embarrassing. Now get ready for a lot of insults to further exemplify the point.

And your commuter college football program would love to get that many people in the stands at the START of a game....so your point/troll/flame would be????

Fact. Its been pointed out in multiple national broadcasts, its become a joke to other fanbases on the SEC rant. Regardless of opponent and score, the stadium shouldn't be empty with a full quarter to go.

Who fricking cares? You really thought bringing this up was a good idea? Did you think your use of screenshots would make your argument better than every other argument about this topic?

This is the most overdone argument on this board. Who fricking cares when fans leave?

Care to address the OP or do you want to derail the thread some more with your butthurt?

Who cares what those idiots say? Every SEC stadium has this same exact issue.

I'm not going to get bent out of shape over a practically-empty Tiger Stadium when we're up 56-0 against SHSU.

LSU's been an exceptional 4th quarter team this season. Hopefully it can translate into a few close SEC wins against these great teams on the schedule.

we're just sort of in that stage right now as a program. It happens to other teams as well over time when a team has had a very long string of success. the Atlanta Braves are a prime example. They struggled to even sell out playoff games for awhile. I do think that we can come out if though, particularly if the administration does things like allow a 1 time re-entry and sell beer in the stadium. JMO.

I'm part of the problem? I stayed the entire game last night. People all around me left way early. Should I have yelled at them?

I just don't understand why people care so much about when fans leave. I don't mean to bash the OP. Look at the scores in the screenshots. They are blowouts. Even if LSU is beating Bama by that much, people will leave. If you have to complain, make it about fans leaving a close game. Does it really matter that fans left during blowouts? If so, please tell me why it matters.
