I was watching at a bar and of course the LSU/NM State game wasn't on the big TVs.

I saw Welter get 'Weltered' on that long TD run, but other than that I wasn't really focusing on either of their play. I did see Beckwith played A LOT more with the 1's early on.

Was he that much better than Welter out there? He does seem a lot more instinctive and obviously a far superior athlete out there, but was he hitting his assignments?

And before you act like an a-hole, I searched and didn't see any threads just dedicated to Beckwith's play and couldn't find any specifics anywhere.

One thing he did not do was watch a guy run right by him for an 80 yard TD run.

yeah I saw that and it was great, but was more curious about his play other than that.

If my memory serves me, he played a good bit better than Welter last night. Remember a few nice plays from him, not including the crazy pick-6.

Kwon had the best night of the lot. He was all over the place.

Beckwith is an impact player. It's truly mind boggling that it's taken this long for him to establish some real PT. The guy looks like an NFL linebacker out there.

With Beckwith and Kwon on the field - I really think we have the best linebacking corps in the country. They are scary good. I think Debo needs more playing time as well. Just get Welter off of the field on defense, Jennings on offense, and this team has a legit shot at getting to the SEC championship.

I don't care how young we are - FSU did it with a freshman QB. Brandon Harris is good enough to take us to the ship.

uhhh, no. not even sure Kwon will make all-SEC. and as much shite as Welter gets, Louis has started 4 games and has 7 tackles. 7.

A redshirt freshman, not a true freshman.

I noticed this as well, but he has to be the one that comes out for the nickel package which due to spread teams means he's out often.

He was out of position a lot. I isolated on him because of the Welter talk.He was FLYING to the ball though. He made a tackle on the side where he closed with Kwon-type speed. And of course he's a playmaker and had the td. I think we take our lumps with him inside because he's clearly the future. I still swear he looks more like a DE though.

I realize the Sam comes off when we go 5+ DBs, but I think he should be more impactful. he's been here since early enrollment and has some starts under his belt from his freshman yr. make some plays.

Duke looked a lot more active than Louis when he filled in as a starter a couple games, I'd like to see more of him at Sam.

Because we don't support your insane view that we have the best linebacking corps in the country?

C'mon.
