Maybe it has been addressed in one of the many threads, but I am not sifting through all the back and forth BS to find it.

Isn't Harris considered a freshman?
I thought freshman did not/could not talk to the media.

I was curious about this as well. Saw Leonard also did an interview.

I think freshmen may only be available after games they've played in, but maybe not during the week. I remember a Jefferson interview right after his first lengthy appearance vs Ole Miss in 08.

Maybe a loophole for non conference low level opponents.

Just surprised me. Never noticed if Miles allowed this in previous years. Could be more common than I realize.

Apparently, Miles has softened on the issue. It's not an NCAA rule, it's a Les Miles rule because sometimes freshman put a giant foot in their mouth. My guess is that Miles feels that his freshmen like Harris, Fournette and Malachi can handle it and are more grown up than most frosh.

I don't think hungry wolves should be the determining factor on sacrificing the freshman.

Assuming the rule is in place to protect them.

I can't remember if I read it in a nola.com or Advocate.com article this morning but one of them said Miles made an exception after the game last night to let freshman be interviewed following the game.

This can't be true. The rant has assured me Les is actually furious over Harris doing well, and wants the entire situation swept under the rug.

Freshmen who make an impact during a game can speak, but will not do so during the week.
