Is there any more hope of Valentine getting cleared this season?

With the obvious upgrade at QB and hopefully Beckwith getting more and more snaps at Mike, the eyes fall on our defensive line, mostly the interior. We saw some of the fringe players get some reps last night but would they play against Auburn? We need rotation there and Trevonte Valentine would be a huge plus if they'd finally clear him and he could come in right away and help us out.

At least he's still taking classes and practicing. The SEC can only stop him from playing in games. I don't feel good about getting him back this year, though, since it's been this long already. I'd love to be wrong.

I wasn't aware of that. That is awesome. If he is cleared for next season we should be in much better shape at DT than we were this year. Locoture will be 1 year bigger and better. Godcheaux will have had a year under his belt as well and have time to bulk up a little more. Neal will as well. Add in Valentine and we go 4 deep. Then out of Gilmore, Bain, and Herron, at least one (if not all) of those guys is going to progress to the point to where they will be an assest. Herron was a 5 star recruit coming out of high school.

I'm not expecting it at this point. Maybe they could get him on the field in the bowl game.

How does this year impact his eligibility... Is this basically his redshirt year? So he'll have 4 to play 4

It should be, he's doing everything but playing. Wouldn't be a bad thing if leaving early wasn't such a big threat.

could get up to 4 good years out of him. This year won't count as using up a year of elegibility.

He's practicing and has been practicing for weeks; it's not as if he's sitting around on the couch getting fat.

Lmfao from what I hear is a beast also, so DT might be in good hands in the future.

You really think we are going to keep a big aggressive DT like Valentine for longer than somebody needs to tell him 3rd round? Logan, Brockers, Montgomery, Mingo. If he's as good as anyone of these guys, he's gone after year three.

Don't think he understands that if he is any good he is losing a year separating himself from high school.

Meanwhile Winston raping erbody and cashing in left and right.

That's typical for elite programs.

The SEC office was advised by one of our neighborly schools that some of Valentine's school transcripts were, uh, questionable. Valentine himself has mentioned this in multiple interviews. Hopefully some day he gets to unleash his frustration upon the OL of the heretofore un-named foe.
