....and they liked hearing it.

quote:

The Tiger Stadium crowd booed Jennings after many drives and NMSU players recognized it.

Freshman defensive back Dalton Herrington said he heard the boos and saw it as a sign the defense was playing well.

"Personally, I noticed it just keeping up with what was going on before the game and stuff," Herrington said. "But that just lets us know we are doing a great job if [the fans] aren't happy with the way they're playing."

Yep nothing but a useless trash. We don't need them. There's no place for booing an LSU player or LSU coaches.

While I didn't boo and never will, I'm almost certain the boos weren't a "sign" that NMSU was playing well. They were flat out awful. LSU just started slow and adjusted.

at this Dalton guy

Whether the fan who booed was booing miles, the team, or a particular player, all that matters is that the players themselves felt that the target of the boos was on Jennings. So regardless of your intent, that's how it is being viewed

There is a place for booing and it is for entertainment that isn't entertaining. That is what football is supposed to be, entertainment. They are the gladiators and we are the mob. Nothing has changed in 2000 years.

Good point. If you swing a baseball bat aiming at person a but in the process hit person B, do you think that person be cares all that much that he was not directly to target. He still has to go to the emergency room and they big bills and go through the pain of being hit

but in honesty, these LSU trash fans were booing Jennings

I don't boo college kids and never will. I don't like it and don't agree with it. But with how much LSU charges for tickets I am not going to be critical of someone who does.

Exactly! Which is why I started this thread after I read the NMSU player's comments.

It's shameful for grown men to boo amateur kids playing a game. Would they boo a high school player? I doubt it. So why do they feel it's perfectly acceptable behavior to boo a college player who is only a year or two older?

I'm disgusted by those types of arrogant assholes.

It's Miles' fault that people were booing. Unfortunately, fans have limited options to express their disagreement, and I'm sure most would say they were not booing Jennings, but were booing the coaches for leaving him in well beyond the point where it was obvious that it was not going to be his night.

I'd hope they could hear the booing. If not, they'd be deaf.
