1)White trash LSU fan gathering spot on gamedays it appears.... Which isn't surprising taking into consideration who tailgates on Nicholson plus the degenerates who congregate from there, back to downtown.

2)Smoked wings pretty damn good.

The potato salad is the exact same ps that I've had at some other places around town... makes me wonder if it isn't Sysco or some other pre made brand.

St. Claire's (available at sams or sysco, among other places) makes both:

Homestyle - yellow base, regular stuff
Baked Potato Salad- sour based, bacon, chivces etc.

I know for a fact it's the second one.

voodoo has good sides but bad BBQ. Like Saucy's (actually Saucy's is the WORST BBQ in the state)

I haven't. Never heard of it.

Definitely looks like night and day in terms of quality; I've heard nothing but good things about The Joint.

I've been needing to venture out more into the Marigny-Bywater but I would never go there at night by myself.

i've had better BBQ in NY than i've ever had in Louisiana, which is pretty sad.
