So I located a frozen turkey leftover from Christmas in my freezer. The turkey was smoked, all dark meat attached, but only one tit left. I must've trimmed a tit before putting in a garbage bag and freezing during the holiday season. I thought this was a mallard I killed last season that I kept for mounting, but boy were we all surprised when I opened it at the taxidermist today, finally.

The turkey is now thawing out and I'm deciding on what to do with it. I guess the mallard didn't make it to the freezer after all.

Any ideas other than a gumbo at this point?

Even though gumbo is the correct answer for a smoked turkey.

I guess I read and comprehend a little better than you do, but you gave me the opportunity to sway in the right direction.

He could also make a turkey posole. I put a recipe in the soup thread last night that could be adapted.

No, because I'd make gumbo. I've had some of those others have made. You can find a ton of those by googling, I'm sure. Sorry.
