Pre season, it was "we'll go 8-4, why don't we have a lot of first team all SEC, we're young, we're inexpierenced, I'm worried about DT depth, QB will have growing pains"

ECT ect. Now here we are, getting UPSET by a very talented MOO STATE team, and now the worlds ending, Miles should be fired, Chavis is over rated, Cameron should leave. ECT.

I just don't get it. Why doesn't anyone think rational.

Btw. For you cluesless people who don't watch football.

Part of Cameron's offense is stretching the field vertically and establishing the deep ball. This is why Jennings just chucks it deep a lot. METT had A LOT of "frick it we're going deep" throws. Cameron instilled a very pro heavy playbook that I'm sure isn't easy to learn. jennings is just playing in the basics of it so far. Of course we won't open up the offense when half our offense probably doesn't even know it yet.

I don't know why its so hard for everyone to grasp that its not THAT we lost to MSU, but rather the WAY we lost. Getting totally domintaed in the trenches by MSU sent a clear message that we are way worse off that most of us thought.

I get that, but I did not see LSU playing good football and still getting dominated. I saw guys with their head in their arse, while MSU played their asses off. If LSU had played lights out and still got dominated, I would believe the season is over. That's not what I saw. I saw missed assignments everywhere. Regardless of whose fault those mistakes were, there is still much to correct, which will lead to better play. That's my feeling on it.

Dude. Think.

We were down 24-7 to Wisconsin.

We were down 31-10 to Miss. St. with our TD coming on a fumble return.

It isn't that we lost. It is that we know that we are looking at a bad football team.

...unless something changes.

Here's the deal: Alabama never sinks to 8-4 when we have had recruiting classes within reasonable distance of their level and when we have a favorable recruiting situation in general in Louisiana. LSU has a game coaching deficiency, and that perception doesn't end at our borders.

Furthermore, if criticism of game strategies is the mark of anti-LSUism and forbidden then there really is no point to sites such as this one.

Our recruiting has not been as good the past few years as it was before. 2012 and 2013 were not great recruiting years. Combine that with all of the attrition and LSU is at a size, experience, and talent deficiency. That said, Les' "smash mouth" approach won't work with this team.

I have not seen line play this bad on both sides (add in the MLB to the DLine situation) in a VERY long time at LSU. I thought it would be MUCH better. That is why I am so pessimistic now.

...Unless something radically changes, which is possible. I still have hope.

yea, cost us the ole miss game last year.

but, to address your post I think you are correct. CC's offense is not as "conservative" as people are saying. certainly ONE of the big reasons the fans have gone apeshit is fear; fear that we are regressing to the offense we had with JJ at the helm. some of the kids on here have NEVER seen us lose to MSU so it was a shocker. to reinforce this fear thing the only plays many remember are the ones that did not work and those were the runs up the middle, esp the four runs up the middle at the goalline.

I guarantee you that if AJ would have thrown the ball on first down these same fans would have freakin' went nuts if it was incomplete. an interception and Miles and AJ were gonna get tarred and feathered.

I don't know how anybody could take you seriously after something like that.

LSU's offense is usually the simplest you'll see all weekend, high school, college, or pro.

When was the last time that you didn't predict doom and gloom for LSU?
When was the last time you supported LSU in any positive way?

I don't put much stock into the "how we won/lost" thing. I expected us to take a step back this year, and we don't know exactly how good MSU is yet, either.

This is some malarkey. I've never once seen anyone say "We lost but I'm ok with the way we lost."

Every loss is treated the same on here.

We lost because we started slow on offense and gave up 4-5 big plays on defense. It's not the end of the world and doesn't send a clear message about anything.

Our lines had problems, but that doesn't mean those problems cant be worked out and it doesn't mean we cant be a successful team.

I hope the team has more backbone than many on here are showing.

and if LSU has thrown a couple of passes and failed you would be running around with your hair on fire screaming, " On the goal line and they PASS!!!" They should have run it!!!"
20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing isn' it?

Now get back to the circus tent with the rest of the clowns.
