This is the correct answer. Unless I drive down and do Buffalo Wings.

Yeah, but they don't really count. You don't crave wings and go there to get wings. It would not satisfy a wing craving.

As far as traditional wings, there is a shitty dive bar on the wank that had decent wings. But the price started rising and the amount of meat started shrinking. Last I heard they were serving deep fried chicken bones.

I love Bayou Hot Wings. At first the breading turned me off but now they're my favorite. Even went to Duff's and Anchor Bar and still prefer Bayou. They're probably not for everyone, though.

Blue Oak and Chicken & Watermelon were pretty disappointing. Bayou Hot Wings ftw.

One of the very few things BR has over NOLA is Pluckers. That would do great here.

Agreed. When the WOW on Magazine closed I prayed that Pluckers would open up there to take its place. New Orleans needs something like that not named BWW or Walk-Ons.

I loved Pluckers when I was in college. It would do well around Tulane and Loyola for sure.

I like the stuffed wings as LA Thai, as well, but it's like 10 bucks for 2 wings

Bulldog Mid City has pretty legit wings.

I wish more NOLA places would quit it with the GD breaded wings.

I like Bulldogs. If you are ever in the Luling area, there is a new place on Paul Mallard that has really good wings. They only have non breaded which is what I like. It is called Wingzzz.

Would any of these places be a good spot to sit and watch the LSU game saturday? Bulldog might be a good option.

I'm originally from Austin and grew up on Pluckers. Nothing else is nearly as good to me but I'm definitely biased in favor of pluckers.

That being said I recently learned that the owners of Pluckers actually grew up in New Orleans and went to school at UTx. So I'm definitely hoping they're looking to expand here soon.

I got roped into trying this place out based off all the hype. After eating the greasy, low-quality shite they serve I came to the realization that the only reason it gets suggested is because white hipsters want to come across as cosmopolitan by "not being afraid to eat in a black neighborhood."

is that the purple building on North Claiborne? It's rancid

How about the sweet tea wings at Root? I remember eating there about 2 years ago. Everything else was meh but those wings were incredible. Granted those wings are probably much pricier than the rest of the restaurants listed.

New Orleans just does not have good traditional wing places. Several of the Asian takes (tan dinh specifically) are awesome and delicious, but I have not had any really good traditional wings here.
