FedGov employees and pols get special TSA status

As a FedGov employee working for DoD this story is true. Recently we received authorization to sign up for TSA Pre-Check status without having to pay the $85 that the rest of the public must pay.
Turns out on my last flight I thought I had signed up but didn't so I had to go through regular security like before. But I have to fly again next week, so if I did everything right this time, I get to keep my shoes and belt on and my laptop in its case, while the rest of you peons get herded through the cattle car operation.
