I need a pressure washer for basic duties around the house, such as cleaning the concrete porch, driveway, deck etc.
I prefer to get an electric and not gas powered.

Amazon is showing the AR Blue Clean and Sun Joe as top rated, but they seem very plasticy. I've seen one made by Black Max that looks to be made of metal and has brass fittings so I'm leaning towards that.

What brand do you use and are you happy with it? What do y'all recommend?

I have the lower psi black max. I think it's 1800 psi. . It's been fine for light use around the house. You don't need anything too strong. Most people go too powerful and end up destroying their driveways.

Not recommending this or anything because I have no idea about it but seems like it is a good price although gas and not light duty:

Generac on Woot

Electric will last 1-3 years
Good gas washer will last 15 plus years with regular maintenance.

I've had a Husky brand electric from Home Depot for several years. Works great for me.

Especially with a Honda or Briggs engine

There are a few good electrics out there, but they will cost as much as a gas. Karcher makes a nicer one. otherwise they are pretty much very similar

But your pump will last 1/3 of that. A rebuild is a couple hundred and a new pump is a new machine.

Only if you are using it heavily. Just using it like a normal home owner the pump will last.

I have had my PW for going on 10 years now. Use it a few times a year and it all works great. It's a Craftsman I got with some Sears points I had and it has a Briggs engine.

I've had at least a dozen General, Comet, and other cheap pumps fail. Spent the money on a big Cat and it lasted only a bit longer. None of them are made to last with hard use.

I just bought a Generac 2800. I haven't unboxed it yet, but reviews I read were pretty good overall.

Gas is my choice. Generac 2300psi with a rotating power head works for me!

I have this one now and am very satisfied. When I first got it, it started 1 pull and continues to do so. IF you get a gas washer, do yourself a favor an ONLY use non-ethanol gas; the other shite kills small engines.

Homelite Pressure Washer

I went thru 2 electric Karchers and both broke in the same spot so no more of them.

Stay far away from electric ones. I want to slam mine against the wall and I can never finish using it dry wish my wife didn't buy it for me so I could have bought one.
