Who here graduated from LSU and has never donated money to the school?

I still haven't given any. Sort of glad I haven't after reading the story about former alumni association dictator Charlie Roberts allegedly paying a woman $40 grand a year for the rest of her life not to disclose sex they had.
I feel LSU gives good bang for the buck especially compared to other states' flagship state schools. One of my friends from u of Illinois said she spent 30 grand a year going there!
Plus the professional schools are all very well priced too
One day I'll give some but no time in near future

I won't ever leave Tiger Stadium. That's a huge donation.

I used to work there. I saw how they spend and allocate their money. I will not be giving a dime.
My uncle on the other hand, has a scholarship named after him. He gives millions apparently.

Paid my tuition up front and in cash, I'm not giving them another dime.

i donate directly to my major college, not to the school as a whole.

Illinois is 30k per year for out of state.
15k for in-state per year.
LSU is 8,700 in state, and 26k out of state.

I bought one of those bricks outside the PMAC... And I donate to TAF thru my hoops season tickets. That's enough for now.

frick that. They nickel and dimed me every chance they got during my 7 years there (undergrad and graduate). The last straw was when they held my transcript over a ticket my little brother got 5 years after I had graduated because it was in a truck that I once paid a parking ticket on during my time there. (Truck was in our dad's name)
I might donate to specific on-campus organizations that I might support but I will never give a cent directly to the school.

Well that's only one of LSU's three foundations. And while the Alumni Association does provide benefits to the students/faculty, LSU Foundation and TAF provide more direct impact, IMO.

I joined the Alumni Association. That's it.

Graduated twice, donate to what again? Don't the current students do that?
Posted on 9/25/14 at 4:09 pm to runningTiger
I just graduated and they called me asking for money 3 months later.
So I donated $20,000 just to get them out of my hair.

Until you go to another flagship school or private school I don't think you'll understand how reasonable LSU is. LSU is dirt cheap compared to others

Back on track, I only give a little, but I've been paying out of state tuition for the last 6 years, so for now, not much.
