Maybe. But it is more than likely they want to establish a headquarters for a train and equip mission. The other option is a support structure to get AH-64s or ATACMS into the fight.

I'm not shocked at all.
I'm not pissed that combat troops will probably be deployed to Iraq and Syria. I'm just pissed that the President told us time and time again that it wouldn't happen.

Yep, pretty sure their 1st Brigade is heavy. Look at some point you have to shoot the frickers in the face, way it works.

I feel confident in saying that the vast majority of bombs dropped so far have not been directed by troops on the ground. Certainly not in Syria. Probably a lot in support of the Kurds and the Iraqi army though.
