Johnston and Murphy. Have several pair and they are the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever owned.

For years people have been telling me to buy Allen Edmunds, and I resisted until a few months ago. Best dress shoes I've ever owned (wear dress shoes daily for 10 years). The leather is soft and comfortable. They feel like feet gloves. Never thought they'd be worth the money, but they are.

I like the Cole Haan Nike Air stuff. Haven't had any Allen Edmonds but I heard they were nice. Johnston and Murphy tends to be too stiff. I have a pair that I can't wear because they hurt so bad.

If you get Johnston Murphy, you have to get calf leather. The others are too stiff as someone else said.

If you don't want to spend a fortune, check Aldo. I've had mine for almost 2 years now...wear them everyday for work and on the weekends with jeans. I've worn them barefoot multiple times and they are very comfortable.

ETA: I have these:

I've had many and Ecco is the best in style, comfort and durability by a long shot.

Good stuff, thanks. I'll have to find a retailer that carries the Allen Edmonds. I'm beginning to think the subject combo is like Unicorns and good LSU offensive coordinators though.
