I hope he is prosecuted to the fullest & has to serve all of his time in Bossier Parish jail. Maybe just maybe tax payers will see the light in this case and realize that if citizens start sticking it to the man, the man may not keep sticking it to its citizens. It's time to stop giving public officials a slap on the wrist for knowingly commiting crimes.

Damn, my taxes contributed to his pay check & he has devoted his life to protect bossier parish citizens from criminals. Sad that he turned into a criminal after retirement. Reality is though, he's probably been a criminal for years.
FRICK HIM, hope he gets butt plugged in bossier parish jail.

So he was trying to get a tricked out suburban on the cheap by trading it from the fleet to a dealership and buying it then?

A lot of Sheriffs in Louisiana think they are above the law. Most are very well politically connected, since they are politicians themselves.

Ok undervaluing a traded in vehicle? Isn't that what dealers do to make a profit all the time? That form 8300 was established to fight drug money laundering and is one of the most abused laws by authorities. It's bullshite to have to report what yo do with your money and business.
That said the relationship does indeed seem incestuous and lacking in oversight.
But damn!

Yeah but I'd bet if the headline was "Former Bossier Parish Sheriff saves a dozen school children from a burning building while simultaneously and successfully negotiating a hostage crisis on the other side of town" - the 'used to' wouldn't be in there!

Makes you wonder why the hell the Bossier police department needed an LTZ to begin with.

Yes it would. Roger moved from LA long ago. Most of the time I'd agree with you but not in this instance.

Are you telling me that a (former) Louisiana Sheriff has engaged in activities that could be defined as corrupt?

Give me a minute. Catching my breath.

He was pulling this little scheme for years. It came out 2 years ago. I guess they're just now getting the ball really rolling.
