Say a vehicle's engine is rate at 550HP.

Say it weighs 3800#.

Would you think you would see HP wise, at the the rear wheels?

The new Z06????

I have no clue how to calculate this number other than dyno or have previous data from a vehicle with a similar arrangement behind the flywheel.

Jag F-type R.

Car is rated at 550, been measured at 447 at the rear wheels. Some speculated Jag was overstating HP.

Hog daddy is right on target.

It also has an auto transmission and tons of electric do-dads.

Plus take into account that most European sports cars do not have the low-end torque that American ones do (with the exception of AMG cars). Most are high-revving, low-torque motors.

It's one of those things that can vary dyno to dyno as well but guesstimately speaking probably in the 420-450hp range or somewhere close.

ETA: didn't see the previous post. Id say 447 is about a 19% loss.
