Heading to Punta Cana next week. Anyone have experience with a charter trip down there?

yes. me and ms mack "did it down there" 3 yrs ago. by the hr and half day - full day is available.
it aint the GoM! swells r bigger so if u have sea sickness issues bring appropiate meds. lots of trolling captians available.

I went to punta Cana but didn't go fishing. Others at the resort that went fishing said it wasn't worth the time and money. What resort are you staying at?

there is golf (not for me), snorkle/scuba trips, rum distilleries tours, tobacco plantation tours which is cool place for GOOD cigars, and eco tour type stuff

Zip lining is awesome. Scuba or snuba if you're not certified. All kinds of stuff to do.

Everyone took a tour with punta Cana mike and said it awesome. Might want to book that ahead of time if you look into and interest you. Bars are called car washes fwiw.

Thanks for the tips. We were playing on doing zip lining and snorkeling. Rum tour sounds fun, probably going to try and make one. What about any food or bars we need to try and hit?

I was at a all inclusive so we didn't go to any restaurants. Our cab driver stopped on our way to the resort to a bar and we had a drink. I also recommend booking a cab from airport before hand. Punta Cana had killa skeeters where we were at. Bring a therma cell and spray with lots of deet to be safe.

We stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe in Punta Cana in June and LOVED IT!! I wanted to go fishing but it was our honeymoon so I didn't go this time. Skeeters weren't bad where we were at all.
We went riding four wheelers and the catamaran trip to where Julio Iglesias lives. Damn what a crib! Definitely take that trip if you can. The dinner was fabulous and they park in the ocean and let you get out and swim. All u gotta do is swim to the side of the boat and they'll refill your drink.
