HBO and network TV are apples and oranges. Network TV is designed for the masses. It's why Big Bang Theory is #1. If that's not your thing, stick with cable.

Gotham was pretty good. I wasn't too thrilled with the Barbara Gordon storyline, I think it's a bit much for everything else they have going on already. Other than that though, I felt it was a solid series premiere especially because I wasn't expecting it to be much (I was expecting a formulaic, episodic CSI: Gotham).

Fanboys trying to defend that abortion called Gotham crack me up............my wife doesn't watch much TV.......although she digs a good batman storyline........

Her first response 15 minutes in.........How many fricking times do I have to see young Bruce Wayne see his parents get killed.

Fringe had something going........then Lost it's luster......

Pun intended on the Lost reference.

I don't think network TV has pounded out a hit since that 70s show.

like someone pointed out yesterday...the writing was so lazy in gotham.

gordon and the other dude keep saying they killed an innocent man and the scruffy guy is like "do you know what would happen to us if people found out we killed an innocent man!"

umm are we suppose to just forget that they were only questioning the guy, he bolted, shot at gordon 5 times or so and was about to stab him when scruffy guy shot him.

that's not killing an innocent man.

It's obvious that any type of Drama writer has moved onto the cable platform......

You don't have to dumb it down to be on cbs or fox.

The point being Gotham just regurgitated something that has been done OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
