This may sound shitty, but would you say this means that the airstrikes are effective because it is causing ISIS to go to these lengths to try and stop the airstrikes?

The French military is excellent. They're also the only other NATO country to be engaged in this fight so far.

Hopefully the backlash will help allow the French to pass aggressive anti-Islamic laws in effort to tamp down/better manage the plague that is overtaking the most beautiful city and country on the planet. Hopefully this will help Conservatives in a country that sorely needs them. America needs social progressiveness. France/Europe needs conservatives - both socially and fiscally. I am a liberal in America but would most certainly be a right-winger if I lived in Paris.

The underground swell has been turning, I think. The fact that Marine Le Pen can get 25% of the vote means something.
Europeans in general do a bad job of integrating new populations, though the French are better than most. They have such a huge population of Algerians and Tunisians that some ghettoization and radicalization was inevitable in retrospect.

He's a blowhard who knows what he knows. France is clearly moving towards a period of conservatism. They went way way way too far to the left with Hollande and now the Right (or at the very least, the centre-right) will seize the day - politics often acts as a pendulum.
