why are there so many csi and ncis spinoffs? are those shows really that popular? I've watched a couple of episodes of each and they weren't that good imho

At least everyone seems comfortable using their AC units unlike previous depictions of N.O.

I've liked the NCIS shows but don't think I will be watching this one very long.

NCIS is awful. Network procedurals are awful, but Scott Bakula is the man. Im torn. I might just watch this tonight.

So it's gonna be a show about cops sitting on their arse doing nothing?

Apparently the answer is yes.

quote:

NCIS’s Mark Harmon Is the World’s Biggest TV Star

Don’t tell him, but Mark Harmon is a big deal. That’s what happens when you’re the star of NCIS, a drama with ratings that rival Sunday Night Football and The Big Bang Theory.

...While it may not be a show you watch, nearly 20 million people tune in every week (8 million more than the average audiences for Scandal and Modern Family), a number that skyrockets to 35 million when you factor in those who watch it in syndication on USA.

When does this come on? I'll set the DVR and aee what it be like.

I watched KVille when it was on, mostly because it was set in NO, but it wasn't that bad.

Don't mind giving this a shot.

Cheap to produce, they can recycle the plotlines over and over, and lowbrow middle America eats it up.

This board considers it a show for old people and generally frowns on it.

The number of cliches they can fit in a one minute trailer is very impressive.

Agreed.

That trailer was impressively awful.

Is there a character in the show that lives in a houseboat? An obese black woman talkin about her mama's gumbo. The guy playing some shitty jazz song in the street twirling around? What about the constant alcohol and crawfish references? What are the chances a car chase ends up with the car stuck in the swamps? How about the one character that's from out of state and does not get the "craziness" only to be told "dats nawlins fo yuh."
