Great episode tonight. I hope we see more super-powered characters.

If they get much stronger it's time to call in Tony Stark, David Banner, Romonov, Hawkeye and the Cap.

I think the point is to keep the AoS team behind the scene doing the clandestine grunt work. It would be fun to see how Coulson avoided detection while flying coach, stuff like that while the work on the main problem of the utron bomb.

Also I'm guessing that crash finished Xena... or did it?

if this show just introduced the Infinity formula then it's a huge step forward in the MCU.

The show is strongly suggesting that Koenig is a LMD, but I wonder if they'll ever come out and say it?

My biggest question-How did Coulson maintain the custody of Ward? If I remember correctly, somebody besides Coulson's his team took him into custody.

Second biggest question- Coulson when talking about recruitment of new/former SHIELD agents to the new SHIELD mentioned traitors, detainees and the sellouts in the private sector. Well if the private sector former Agents are sellouts, that would include Maria Hill, right? Since she is shown at Stark Industries at the end of TWS and declaring SHIELD dead at the tail end of last year. So if Hill is out, presumably Stark Industries is out, which is why I wonder: Who the hell is financing this whole operation if it isn't Stark Industries?

Third biggest question-again the scene in Coulson's office, the map he pulls up possible allies (including the ones in the England), is the same map later shown when they are seeing white noise Hydra message activate the sleeper agents. So besides wondering which agents are where and if Wakanda and other known places and characters are represented.Did they just reveal a hit list for the team to work on?

and one more question(for now)- the Hydra guy talking both to Absorbing Man and later Hydra leader Whitehall(the guy who maybe has the Infinity Formula in him, who will forever be Det. Terry Crowley-the first guy Vic Mackey killed on The Shield, coincidentally enough) was English, what are the odds this guy was the english ally Coulson (thought) he recruited to the effort?

This was very strong start to Season 2.

The England mention could be another blurred line regarding mutants if it concerns Brian Braddock (Captain Britain). Using or mentioning his sister would trigger a massive lawsuit by Fox.

Captain Britain is Brian Braddock. His older brother Jamie and his sister Psylocke are mutants. Brian gets his powers from magic stuff and it's old comic debate if he is a mutant or not. I don't consider him one and I think Marvel holds his rights, but Marvel and Fox share Quicksilver and SW, so I'm sure CB would at least be partially owned by Marvel.

I don't know. I'd be pretty surprised if they brought Lawless on, only to kill her off in the first episode.

Would be worth it if they brought her husband, Batiatus, in to avenge her.

For us non-comic books nerds, what is the significance of the metal object?

But Lawless, whose fierce Isabelle Hartley took the show by storm Tuesday, has says she may pop up in future episodes or other Marvel properties.

"It's whatever the writers want to write. All things are possible in SHIELD," Lawless tells The Hollywood Reporter. "That's what I love in this sci-fi comic world. There are no absolutes. There are no bottom lines. Every boundary is bendable."

Did anybody else notice the blue alien from TAHITI project in the crate during one of the WW2 flashbacks?

Was it in the flashback at in the opening of the show? I must've missed it.

Near the end of the flashback. They were packing up all the stuff from the bunker and Dugan went to open a large crate and you could see the alien's blue arm before Agent Carter slammed it shut.

I don't think anyone knows yet exactly what it is. But I think everyone is speculating that it is of Kree (aliens) origin due to the markings on it and the showing of a blue arm in the crate at the beginning of the show.

Purely guessing, but it may be the Forever Crystal. Or yet another Infinity Gem. Or both.

It definitely looked similar to the Forever Crystal from the comics:

Before they can go too far with this, they MUST get the rights to Fantastic Four back...because Immortus is Nathaniel Richards...descendant of Reed Richards.

My guess: With everything SHIELD having gone to shite, Coulson & crew snatched Ward back from the authorities.

It may well be Stark. It might also be that they had millions upon millions (if not billions) squirrled away in various hidden accounts that only Fury knew about and that was part of the info he gave to Coulson.

Did they just reveal a hit list for the team to work on?

There we so many points that while some will end up being story locations, others were there just for filler. Making episodes for each site would take us well into two seasons from now.

Interesting theory. Could possibly be or it could just be that Whitehall adopted an English accent to hide from people looking to kill former Nazi authorities. Or maybe it's both?

Solid episode last night, didn't see the Fitz-Simmons thing coming. Well played.

The blue alien in the box was probably a Kree. The box was seen in the warehouse while the team was there.

Absorbing Man. I had no idea which way they were going with that guy until he absorbed the properties of that gem. I nerdgasmed. Hard.

I like this version of Skye better, less whiney emotiony stuff. Looking forward to more of she and Ward's chats.

makes sense and would assume the effect it has on touch is 'extreme age' which was sort of what the dead hand/arms looked like.
also,

makes sense to add Captain Britain which could help boost world wide popularity esp in the UK.

yea, but we know death in the Marvel universe is not absolute.

assume not much financing is going on, the facilities were already in place and it's doubtful any of the Shield agents are drawing big pay checks. Also Fury may be on extended vacation but it's not like he just left everything unattended and without any resources.

I was wondering how they would fuel the bus when they finally get out in the open again, or when they put the cloaking in place whichever comes first.

My question is if the Triskelion is still running and will we eventually see another helicarrier?

I really like what they are doing with this show, if they keep it subtle and don't get in your face too much with the main Avenger characters, it really works for me.

I'd say this is highly likely.
