Mine has slown down since updating to iOS 8.0. I have a 5S. I don't believe it's anything other than just the new software taking up more space on the phone.

Not at all. In fact it seems to run better. Just a regular ole 5 here...

My 5s was freezing when Facebook was running. I removed/reinstalled FB & haven't seen the problem since.

Edit: this all happened after upgrading to iOS8

Yep. My battery drains a lot faster and has been for only the last couple of weeks.

And the new ones are freakin huge. It's like cramming a stale ham sandwich into my pocket.

Many of my apps are also shutting down for no reason.

I've had battery issues lately, as well as charger issues. But I bought a new charger and it's still doing the same shite (cutting in and out of connection with the phone). So I believe something is up with my input jack plug-in, and the fact that it's not making solid, unbroken connection with my charger is why I'm having some battery issues.

I have the 5 and have never updated my software on it, and don't really have many problems outside of this one.

My 5C seems to work better after the update, but I haven't really noticed a huge difference in battery life one way or the other. As for apps shutting down, that's usually a kink involved in trying to port to a new OS. Things should be better once you update your apps.

I have 5s and mine is as speedy as ever with the new iOs 8 update. The only thing is sometimes I have to shut it off and then back on to send/get group texts.

iOS 8 doesn't run well on the older model iPhones as well as iPads.

Chicken's Tech Board has frequent threads/posts about the problem. I'm not going to update my iPhone or iPad iOS to 8 for that reason.

It's actually kinda funny how all the apple fanboys were ripping on the size of many android phones, they didn't want phones that big because they wouldn't fit in their pockets, a phone that big wasn't necessary, etc...until Apple copies that approach and it's supposed to be groundbreaking and they're awesome.

I don't think its awesome, I wish my 6 was the same size as the 5 and most of my friends agree with me. Whatever though, its still a super badass phone!

I really haven't seen more than a few. I have iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 and both work great. Not as good as the new one's I'm sure, but I haven't had any problems apart from apps not being compatible.

I don't do the apple/android shite fight. I just like the support network and having sex with your mother. I also never claimed that the other phones were too big, but if they're the size of the new 6, they are also too big. I don't like fricking cargo pants.

This thread might have had a chance to reach the masses, until it was moved to the tech board. If so many people are having latent issues with their phones, something is afoot.

That's really an over statement depending on how old your equipment is. It runs just fine on more recent models of both. It runs fine on my 5S and 5cs and third Gen iPads

That's not to say people aren't hitting some bugs here and there. That's gonna happen every major release.
