I looked on their site today and it says 5s is $300 and 5,5c,4s,4 are $200, not 'up to' or anything.

The wife has a 5c, but I got it from a friend and she still has her 4s. It has a broken back glass. I've preordered her a 6 that will be in Thursday.

So, can I just walk into AT&T and hand them a 4s and get credited $200 (should I fix the back glass or is this time sensitive...meaining take what I can get before the 'upgrade')? It's not the phone on her account (the 5c is), though it was. I'd rather keep the 5c, the proximity sensor doesn't work, just incase I destroy my 5.

I've said too much. N/R, is this upgrade only to the phone on your account, or can I just hand over a 4s and get $200?

it's time sensitive, and the back needs to be fixed. But it doesn't have to be the main phone on the account. I turned in my 3g for a 100 bucks. (hadn't used that phone in 2 years when I turned it in)

The $200 seems to be the market for anything less than the 5c. I walked into Apple and they gave me $205 for my 5 and it was pretty nicked up but with no cracks.

Usually since you preordered and paid for the new phone, the trade in will go towards other things in the store and not a credit to the new phone.

Thanks. I wonder if I could get a back before I activate the 6? I'd want to do that Thursday night, but I guess I could wait until Friday. I wish I would have kept all the backs I've changed, I could have made some art out of them.

I still have to pay the upgrade fee I think. I don't fricking see why since I paid the $250 cancelation fee on the account to get the 6.

Yea, but upgrade from what? I canceled the service. I'm starting at zero so I'm not upgrading shite. I just got on ebay, and I don't think I'm going to fix this 4s in time to try this. frick it.

I actually don't think I can do this upgrade since I've canceled my contract. I may try the 5c since I don't think the proximity sensor is fixable. I've changed out two screens on it and with neither did it work.

Replacing a screen on a 5 is stupid easy, and they're about $30 on ebay. I get the ones with the camera and sensors and button already attached since they are cheap. Literally 5 screws and three cables.

Some of those may be promotions based on if you bought an iPhone 6.

Verizon is running a promotion that gives $200 for old iPhones if you purchased an iPhone 6.

AT&T has a trade in appraisal feature on their website. You input your phone info and it gives you a dollar value. For my 4S id get $18 and there's not a scratch on it. So I just kept it.

Does anybody know if Apple / AT&T gives you cash money or store credit only?

I did this yesterday at AT&T. They gave me $400 for our old 4Ss. So we got 2 LG G3s, 2 LG tablets, 2 cases for the phones, upgraded from 6gb to 10gb plan, and had $240 credit left to go on my next Bill. Went with the Next plan and bill went down $30 a month despite 4gb more a month and the 2 phones. We're happy with the deal and love the phones so far.
