Favorite Watch You Lost and Can't Find Another Replacement

I loved this watch
It was my everyday watch. However, about 2 years ago it got snagged on something and flew off. I spent about 30 minutes looking for it. Thinking I could just buy a new one ended the search. Unfortunately I cannot find a replacement. Anyone else have anything like this?

I had a timex for 4 or 5 years. Lost it in belle river because the damn band broke.
It may have been a cheap POS, but it saw me through college. That watch saw plenty of terrible exams and a few pretty women. Wish I still had it.

Yeah I know. This is my current everyday watch...
I'm thinking about going with one of these in the rotation for everyday wear...

Timex takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

If Broke or any watch guru knows where I could find a secondhand citizen BM8475-00E as depicted in the OP I am willing to pay $$$.

I lost one looked identical to this one, of all threads on this site never would have guessed this one would have popped up to piss me off. Gave dad one a little nicer and he will never sell it so there is that. Got another as well but kinda lame and not well made.

Pardon my ignorance but what type of watch is that and who is on the face?
Posted on 9/23/14 at 9:07 am to OleWarSkuleAlum
had a similar looking Wenger. Had just gotten the action repaired, when the band popped off while I was trying to anchor near the Isle of Capri off Positano. they only gave me 100' of anchor rope, and it was hanging straight down. so i wasn't diving down there to get it.

I can find a watch way the frick better, but put the damn thing on a NATO so when you blow out a spring bar you keep your watch.
First off, you need to decide what kind of movement you want...I don't recommend a quartz, but you are coming from an eco.
What you had what an A type Flieger with a PVD case, with some big dumb numbers and a ton of random features. Here are the real deal ones that won't break the bank.
The Laco Melborne, automatic, comes with a bracelet which I wouldn't wear all of the time, remember the NATO band, but it'd be nice to have.
LINK
The Altenburg, automatic, has a bit bigger dial.
LINK
The Damme is sterile quartz with a killer case.
LINK
Those are about the cheapest you'll get with a nice quality feel.
ETA: At 42mm the B type dial works well too. The Bielefield is real nice.
