As much as we do in college? I cant really think of many especially SEC. This formatiin is starting to become extinct in the NFL as well, the saints are one of the teams that actually still use it, but not many. Why dont we just leave this offense alone? It doesnt work for us anymore.

I dont understand why Les doesnt build his offense around the players he has instead of forcing the offense on his players that arent meant to run it.

What's interesting about this is that if you look at Oregon's offense for example, which is based on the inside / outside zone read, they tell you exactly what is coming by the alignment of the back. Obviously the QB has options on the play based on the reaction of the key on the defense, but it is interesting that they tell you what is coming.

Bama runs alot more 1 back, pistol spread formations. Georgia may run it some but they use a good bit of spread as well.

we had the most success running it out of the pro set saturday night. the problem is doing it too much too early and not mixing it up on 1st down. We also ran more plays not in the power I. go figure.

Yeah let's go 4 wide air raid to decrease the chance of 1 yard runs.

Just because some teams run it doesn't mean it's their primary offensive formation...Jeesh there are a lot of people on here that don't know shite about football

Iowa is the only one I can think of off the bat. Boy isn't that a scary comparison?

Huh? It's about personnel. That's why teams like Oregon RARELY struggle. You really are stuck in the past aren't ya.

You must watch A LOT of football to make these statements, right? Take lots of notes as you do as well, I'm sure. Share the numbers you've come up with on the extinction of the I-form, especially in the NFL.
