F-250 power window motor/regulator question...

I think either my regulator or the power window motor is going bad on the drivers window, watched the you tube video on how to change the regulator and motor, looks easy, have any of you done this? how do you tell if it's the regulator or the motor that's gone bad? should you just go ahead and change both, or is there a reasonable amount of life left in the good component?

Change both. It is way easier and not much more expensive. Did it in my 2500HD and it took all of 10 minutes

Agreed. Change them both as a unit, but its gonna take more than 10 min.just to get it apart.
