You have to scream Nuts!!! before you do it though. Similar to calling backboard in basketball.

This can't be real life

I actually megged someone today and still lost the ball when she shielded it from me. He then tried to back heel it passed me and almost fell over.

I defend with a low, wide stance, so I get megged pretty often. Honestly though I invite it. I would say I get it back 95% of the time or at least dispossess the guy, since I know it's coming and I'm already closer to the ball than he is. Megs are rarely useful, unless someone is closing you down fast and can't readily change their direction.

Dude doesn't even know what getting megged is. So I doubt it.

This is def a troll the SB account. Look at his post history.

Hows US Soccer going to be your avatar but you don't know about getting nut megged.

Come play with me some time, I'll show you.

I'm old and slow, but I'm going to meg somebody before the game is over. I give up possession at least 75% of the time, but it's demoralizing to the opponent. If you get them early enough, it will frick with their head and they'll respect your foot skill more than they should.
