Or is it lack of talent surrounding them?

I think "The Patriot Way" has come to bite them in the arse a little bit.

Brees, I don't know what the frick he's thinking sometimes. But, Brees puts points on the board. The problem is the Saints D would open their dookie shoot to a CFL team.

Brady had a decent game yesterday. Their offense just doesn't have as many playmakers as they've had in recent years.

Edelman is their #1 WR. Scary. They have absolutely no deep threat.

Brees will be fine I think. Payton gives him shitty plays sometimes. But he looked off yesterday. But the other two games he has looked ok.

I think Brady is in full decline mode. The patriots not spending the money even though they have it has finally fricked them over. Brady would be a lot better too if the Patriots weren't so conservative on offense

Brees looks just fine to me.

Brady, I dunno. Maybe Bill has just changed the way they play so much. Brady is managing games right now, he isn't lighting it up, and it doesn't appear that he's being asked to do so.

My god. Brees is on pace for 4603 yards while completing 70.9% of his passes. He has a QB rating of 99.1. His TDs are the only thing a little down this season and he's still on pace for 27.

Brees will be fine and Brady doesn't have Welker or Hernandez anymore.

Didn't realize his stats from the Vikings game were so good.

this

does he look like the 40+TDs and 5,000 yards guy...no, but he looks like a top qb in the league

if I had to rank them so far this season.

Luck
Manning/Brees
Wilson (and he's not on pace for gaudy numbers either)

he wasn't bad...he just wasn't Brees-like. He had no zip on his passes. He doesn't seem to trust his deep ball at all. I don't know if that hurt oblique is still bothering him or what.

And that's largely due to having a competent running game for the first time in several years. This year 5 Rushing TDs and 5 Passing TDs. Last year 10 Rushing TDs and 39 Passing TDs.

actually, I thought he had plenty of zip, he was throwing under pressure and those balls were off and light

he was whipping them in there more often than not and if not for some key drops his numbers would've been off the charts

colston dropped two easy ones, graham an easy one, it's been 3 weeks and he's one of the top rated passers despite playing on a 1-2 team.

Yea, Brees looks fine. He is short about 5 yards on deep throws though, but he is still money

this is the issue for both Brees and Brady. Both teams top 2 pass catchers are possessions guys.

Gronk - Graham
Edelman - Cooks

Neither team has a guy who can make plays down the field.

His Yards per attempt is down and the plays downfield don't seem to be there either.
