For Miss. St, runs that were designed runs to RB:

3,2
2,0,1,-1
20,2,3
9,6,8
3,2
1
2
4
2,6,1

I count 14/20 as being 3 yards or less, which is 70%.

The ironic part is that on the drive where the runs were 9,6,and 8 (i would say these are successful runs off of which to build), and also Jennings had a 6 yard run in there....2 first downs were secured on 4 straight runs. So on 1st and 10 after 4 straight good runs, what happened? 3 straight passes....one for 3 yards to Dural, then two incompletes. So when the running game finally opened up a little, they passed. Go figure.

I just broke down the play-by-play from the Wisconsin game...here are the running plays that were executed by RB's. I left out QB runs and reverses. Here are the plays by yardage, drive-by-drive

3,3,0,5
3,2
2
4,-1
2
4,3,-1,3,0
5,1,2
4,3
17,8,28
2,2,17,2,5,-3
6,1,4

By my count that is 32 called running plays to running backs.

20 were 3 yards or less, which is 63%

Will get to work on Miss. St. shortly

You ought to find some folks that are good at building applications and create an app to get this kind of information.

Fournet averaged about 5 ypc vs MSU, FWIW. Don't know about the others.

I would also like to know what percentage of LSU's runs go to the right vs the left. It seems like it's at least 2:1 to me.

This. He clearly separated himself as the best back. Dude ripped off a 20 yard run. He has homerun ability.

He was 7-38, with a long of 20.

So, 6 of his carries netted 18 yards.

An even better question would be,what % of our plays are recognized and diagnosed by the defense before they're run.

I am willing to bet most TD wives could predict LSU's next play with 80% accuracy.

Chicken,

63.3% of our runs were 3 yds or less against MooState

Of those 19 run plays that were 3 yds or less ( and i excluded sacks):

Fournette had 5
Jennings had 5
Hilliard had 5
McGee had 2
Williams had 1
Dural had 1
