I know you have to plan this stuff out atleast a year beforehand so I'm a few months behind. What are the guides and Internet forums I should be researching? I'll have a 1 & 2 year old then. What are some must do things/things to avoid? Where is the best place to stay? TIA

And a few years later, when they are older you'll say "hey remember that time I took you guys to Disney World?"

They'll both look up at you with disappointment in their faces and say "No"

Unless it's for you and your wife, don't bother going with kids that young. They won't know what's going on and won't be able to ride much.

Too young brah. They'll be just as happy running around the trash can outside Dumbo's ride.

Save your money up and blow it out with them when they're old enough to make memories .

You're not going to Mars, just to a theme park.

With a toddler, stay at one of the All-Star Resorts on the Disney property. You won't have to fight parking everyday and you'll pay about the same thing as if you stayed at a Holiday Inn. When you or your toddler gets tired during the day at one of the parks, just take a free Disney courtesy bus back to your Disney hotel, 20 minutes, tops, rest up and hit it again later in the day.

Once the kids get older, then you stay at one of the higher end resorts, such as the Boardwalk Villas on the water near Epcot, which is where my family is staying next month.

Dining Reservation are 180 days out
Fast Pass is 60.

With kids that young, stay at an Epcot resort (if its in your budget) and stroll those kids around in Epcot every night while you and the wife drink it up.

We brought ours for the first time at ages 1 & 3. There is plenty of things for them to do.

Exactly.

I think my kid's "vacation" for the first 3/4 years is going to be "Hey, stay at your grandparents for a week, your mom and dad are going to Europe. Cya"

Honestly, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are going to be in complete disarray in May due to construction at both. But since you have young kids, Magic Kingdom has the majority of rides that they can ride and enjoy. I'm going soon with my 18 month and we're doing 3 days at MK and one day at Epcot. The other two parks just aren't worth it in my opinion for little ones.

Hollywood has a bunch of attractions that my one year old liked. The stunt show, Disney Jr, little mermaid, etc.

AK they loved the safari ride, a bugs life and a few other things.

Get the park hopper and you wont be stuck in one park.

Listen to some of the other posters here and don't bother bringing a 1 and 2 year old. Wait until they're at least 4/5 yrs old.

We went this past summer, ages 11, 7 and 4. Those with 2 and younger looked miserable.

Think about it this way. You'll be lugging enough shite on your back and in the stroller. The last thing you want is to also have to lug around bags strictly for holding diapers. Unless your little ones are already potty trained, can hold it if need be and use the bathroom on command (I'd be REALLY impressed at that age), do not subject you, your wife, and your kids to that fiasco.
