the qb situation is the least significant issue

in fact, it's really not an issue (at least relative to a multitude of other things)

It's the most significant issue we have. Only other 1 that is somewhat close to it is Welter over Beckwith at MLB. But the QB situation is bigger.

given that we scored two passing TDs the moment we changed QBs, I would say you're mentally challenged

You're right. It's one of many issues, but it's still a pretty significant one. The OLine and Front 7 on defense being the main ones. They are getting treated like red headed stepchildren out there. They need to man the f*ck up

Well there is one guy who touches the ball every down on offense. That guy would be significant

QB play isn't our worst problem, it's just the only position most people and the TV cameras watch. DL and Inside LB play is just horrid. QB is basically at least average

qb position, dl, ol, lb, are all huge isses. IF changes aren't made, LSU is looking at a 6-6 season.

It is 1 that we might be able to improve by making just 1 change. The others are much more complicated

You must be watching a different team. Our quarterback is at the bottom of the SEC in ability. It's the most important single position on a team. It's a big issue. We don't have the 2011 defense and offensive line to make up for this type of play. Plenty other issues but to say it's not a big issue is naive.

The four biggest issues I saw from the game is that......

1. Harris should be the starter and only come out because of injury or blowout. Let him get his lumps now. Lee had a rough 2008 but he then became a pretty decent QB. Harris has a higher ceiling both now and later compared to Lee. Jennings is a solid backup QB.

2. DJ Welter should also be sitting the bench with Jennings. Beckwith showed so much more on the field making solid tackles and displayed really good skills. Let him get his lumps now too, remember 2015-2016 are really gonna be our years.

3. Ronald Martin has shown some good coverage skills on the underneath routes evidence against ULM but since his career began he has been terrible in drop back coverage. Again give Adams time to get his lumps.

4. Leonard Fournette can catch the football, he should be the 3rd down back. Hilliard and Williams should be the pound the rock backs. Fournette should be catching at least 4-5 balls a game both on screens or check downs or even swing routes out of the backfield.

I think those four things would drastically improve this years team and put us in real playoff contention the next 2 years.

the defense is bad and the offense needs to score

if they don't sustain drives you're going to see more 17-0 halftime scores

Agree...does anyone really believe Harris starting and playing the whole game last night would have changed the outcome?? If so, then you weren't watching what was happening in the trenches.

Agree that Harris and Beckwith should play now. They can't be worse than the starters and what do we have to lose? If we keep playing Jennings and Welter we are not going to win many games anyway.

A lot of people were very impressed with what Harris accomplished in 3 minutes of play time. It's not that people think that Harris would have engineered a blowout in our favor, it's just that they wonder why the coaching staff refused to make any change in a scheme that was failing horribly until there was no other choice.

LSU needs a playmaker, I don't think AJ is a playmaker. It could make a difference.
