Would Kliff Kingsbury take a job opening at LSU? And do you think he'd do well and grow into a big time position like head coach of LSU?

do you not understand? it ain't the OC...

too young. not enough experience, etc
would be way too big a gamble to take him at this stage in his career. his next move ought to bee moo state (or the like) if mullan ever left

Holy crap - did you mean would he demote himself from a Power 5 HC to an OC?
Posted on 9/21/14 at 7:21 pm to Sev09
The Kingsbury love is sillier than the Dooley love was.
Posted on 9/21/14 at 7:21 pm to Sev09
Maybe he can bring his alcoholic DC with him
Posted on 9/21/14 at 7:22 pm to Sev09
The rant would find fault with him and have hypotheticals before his first practice.

Texas Tech is in rapid decline and people still spew this non sense, it is really mind boggling

I would keep miles. Get rid of any Assistant over 50

Not really, Texas Tech is always competitive. And no guys, I never mentioned Kingsbury as OC...
I guess I mean once Miles retires and Kingsbury has a few more years under his belt.
And lets not forget... Auburn HC, Gus was a HS coach shortly before he got the HC position of a big time college program.

the air raid offense.
does not work.
thats about as simple as I can say it.
its good for fringe programs like texas tech and west virginia because it can make up for a lack of real talent and help them compete with real programs (like LSU) but thats it. they'll compete. they wont win, except through sheer luck, and "sheer luck" is not a plan. i dont know how people on a football board can still not understand this.
the reason mike leech always had some 3-star freshman come in and throw for 500 yards, and then later go undrafted, is because the offense is easy. its easy to teach, easy to learn, easy to execute. this is also whats going on with kenny hill and AM, though to a lesser extent. theyll practice the same routes over and over for years until a simple offense can suddenly look great. its not. that's why a team like LSU or Bama can learn to stop it in about a week.
that's not a guarantee, this isnt a computer program were talking about, it takes a while to get used to and the coaches have to read things right and the players have to execute, but once they do, the game is over. every time.
why do you think real programs dont use it? if you could just plug guys in every year and then go score 60 every week, dont you think teams would do that?

TT. Lost five in a row to end last year, barely beat UTEp and central Arkansas and got shite stomped against Arkansas . They will not even come close to a championship. They were championship contenders when KK took over

not true. gus was mitch mustains (sp?) high school coach when houston nutt was at arkansas, so he hired gus as OC to bring mitch (a 5-star qb prospect) with him. then nutt got fired almost immediately anyway and mustain ended up at usc i think. i cant remember where gus ended up but it was quite a while before he got to auburn
