This is Google’s definition of the Spread offense

Yeah and we've run some of its staples for years. It's just not gonna be our base offense.

miles will never commit to a full spread offense.
saban has somewhat adapted by bringing kiffin in and running an up-tempo with plenty of spread tendencies. the wr quick screen and read option has been deadly for them this year and still allowing for a power running game.
