LSU out physicals a lot of teams, and there has certainly been examples of him making great decisions during games, but how often does he actually play chess better than the opposing coach?

He doesn't. He is great with trick plays. That is about it. He should demote himself to special teams coach only.

I'm not Les's biggest fan, but that's a very difficult thing for fans to quantify

Never. When we win it's because of superior talent, not anything Leslie is doing.

You don't think that's due, in large part, to superior talent?

Never once. I don't even think he coaches at all. He just tell the players to go out there and toss the pig skin around and see what happens.

And often out-talents other teams (like versus Wisconsin this year). But out-coaching is a much more rare event - it's happened under Les, but not all that often.

Never, which explains all the losing seasons.
High school dropouts that work on the rigs, in the plants, on the road grader, inside the fast food joints, and even those hard core unemployed know more football than he does. The guys that are still playground legends or spend their entire day playing Madden or devour every word spoken on ESPN by experts, are smarter. I know that because I read the Rant.
