Was that a crushing loss? Yes

But let's not get ridiculous. We're not going to be a 500 team. I would say that worst case scenario we are looking at an 8-4 type year. Given all of the departing skill players on offense this year I'd say that's not bad if you chalk this up as a rebuilding year.

A lot of young players are getting valuable time. The biggest concern for me would be the play of the front 7 on defense last night. We were gashed in the middle. Some of that is scheme but a lot of it was us getting pushed around.

The offense will find a groove eventually and I think we'll see more of Harris going forward.

Next year should be a very good year.

Are LSU fans the new CUBs fans now? When do we stop hearing "next year?"

How come our biggest competitor in Crimson never has to "rebuild"?

Except for an extra year of physical maturity for the linemen and a year of experience in the system, it'll be exactly the same.

Auburn went from no sec wins to the National Title?

Bama ran an offense that no-one could figure out, and got extremely lucky. Arkansas was literally a couple yards from losing their last two games of the season.

The front seven is why we will be a 6-6/7-5 team.

Texas A&M have many young players and they seem to be rolling along. Tired of the excuses.

8-4 is the ceiling, not the floor. Look at that schedule again. And our 4-5 star defense getting "pushed around" by State's 2-3 star O is a cause for concern. I've never seen the Chief look as silly as he did last night.

Mississippi fricking State.

MSU has a lot of veterans on the line.

We are a young team, who got dominated by a veteran team. LSU Will improve. I think 4 losses sound about right for this team. We will shock someone and beat them when we were not supposed to. There is a good chance we beat UK and UF. ARK is a toss up.

7-5 at worst, but 8-4 sounds about right.

Pretty sure that we can go ahead and choose a new opponent to be obsessed about for the next couple of years. We are not a peer competitor of Bama's with this team.

I don't think it's an overreaction that in the first SEC game of the season, in Tiger Stadium, at night, with 102k in attendance, playing an unranked team that is thrilled to land 3-star talent, that we shite the bed so convincingly. I had higher expectations...

Were you one of the 10,000 fans that stayed in the stands until the 4th quarter to witness the "comeback" last night?

LSU needs to put a better product on the field!
