So I had always thought I really liked this movie. Saw it a couple of times but oddly enough I was never able to catch the last 10 minutes. (Last scene I saw was when he came back and got after Nicole Kidman) so I'm like yeah happy shite after a series of really terrible things happening. I found it on netflix and got to see the end tonight after a disappointing LSU loss. Lo and f&$@ing behold the bastard gets shot and dies and now I hate this damn movie. I mean would it have hurt these pricks to write him not get shot by pacific rim? I'm done with this day.

Was drunk so forgot I posted this. I was pissed because I thought it was all happy endings. I figured he would blast those inbred looking bastards being he is a seasoned war vet and they likely have a mom that is also their aunt/sister.

An English teacher in high school recommended I read this for a book report. I got all the way through it and actually enjoyed it until the damn ending. I was so pissed I made it clear I did not like the book in the report. My teacher gave me an A and left a few sentences at the end about how she hated it too. I remember being angry she told me to read it at that point.

I'll always have bittersweet memories of this movie. It was the last time I up whacked off to Nicole Kidman. Now, she's all stretchy and plastic and growss.

Happy endings just for the sake of happy endings aren't any better. The only problem I had with the ending here is that you could kinda see it coming.

Well yeah considering every sad thing that could happen happened. It wouldn't have been out of place if he killed the guy at the end. He survived 137 near death experiences to get home, gets home against all odds, bangs a kid into Nicole Kidman, then gets shot and dies in sort of duel with the Pacific Rim SoA guy. What was the point of him dying over him just getting a flesh wound and having him actually get to sit down for a day or so?
