I really hope they get their arse beat. I live around a ton of Illini fans and they are so obnoxious. They think because they're the big state school in Illinois that they're hot shite, no matter how bad they are

Well there's no doubt they are an abomination of a football team, I think they might be middle of the pack in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Agreed. Him somehow convincing Arrelious Benn to go there has to be one of the great recruiting jobs of all time. And I doubt it was even shady because U of I doesn't have any boosters who give a shite.

I'm not a huge fan of it. The quad is beautiful, but the rest of it is kind of concrete jungle from what I remember from the few times I've been there. I instruct a course at Illinois State and I actually much prefer the campus and area there than U of I, but U of I is much stronger academically.

It is a good academic school. I might have chosen it over LSU if they gave me free tuition like LSU did.
I guess what I meant by my comment earlier is they are very elitist, just like I'm sure LSU looks to outsiders

Same here. LSU gave me a financial deal that was just too good to pass up.
