Don't see why you need alcohol (or soft drinks for that matter) to enjoy your tailgating experience.
ETA: They do allow soft drinks--BYU has Coke machines on campus.

Their faces were priceless seeing all the Ole Miss crowd plastered in 2011. I was offering key bumps, pills, and booze. They were rattled to say the least

I used to work with a Mormon and he drank diet Coke like crazy. Like 3-4 a day. Maybe because he couldn't have them at home, but that guy loved some diet coke at work.

Utah is a dry campus and roughyly 30 to 40 percent arr Mormon.
