Just around the house use. Under $100 and no special batteries that are hard to find. Thanks.

Maglite. It will last forever and you can beat the shite out of someone with it

Flashlight suggestions?

Fenix, streamlight, or Surefire.
Everyone carries those batteries now. (123a)
Maglite, even the LEDs, just don't cut it.

Google Simon Cree LED flashlight. I just picked one up and I'm very impressed for how cheap it was. It is bright as hell!

Streamlight or Fenix.
I have a Fenix LED that takes AA, and it's awesome for a small light.
Maglites are great as a club though.

I agree. Look for them on Amazon. I recently bought 3 of them. Great for the price. If you order off Amazon, make sure you order from US shipper. If cost a little more but you will get it within a week. Last year, ordered a few that shipped from China and they took 3-1/2 weeks to receive.

Screw that, get a headlamp and keep both hands free.
