To marry whomever and how many, smoke whatever, sniff it, shoot it in your arm or out of a gun, eat it and in whatever proportion, as well as drink just same?

We aren't in a free country. Try not paying rent on your property to your rulers. Some people call it a property tax, it isn't 'free' or 'freedom' whatever it is.

The problem with that is how you define putting your kids "well being in danger". You could argue that keeping a low paying job instead of a finding a more lucrative one harms your kids in the long term. Very slippery slope.

Ultimately the kids are facked if they have shitty parents. Laws are not going to fix that.

I'm fine with that as long as you don't expect me or any other taxpayer to spend a dime on hospitalizing you if it goes too far.

The problem is the need for rules, and the need to amend those rules, etcetera etc.

People will never just all do the right thing.

As long as you do not affect anyone else negatively, yes, you should be able to do what you want.
