Is a man on man or a zone scheme? All this talk of the fat dude that went to Mary-land and the new coach Grimes, I never once remember anyone saying anything about the kind of scheme LSU will use with Grimes. I HOPE it is a man on man.

All the players talked about was how their technique improved. I think the O Line issues will be solved with consistent play at center.

Use 7 to block 9 in the box.

The center is usually the qb of the line. Line blocking of course depends on what formation the defense is in an coaches always scheme for what the strengths an weaknesses of there lineman . Blocking is complicated at times especially if the guys are young. Reach an stretch blocks are technique more than power an strength as is pass blocking.
I know it's not a answer as to what you were asking but in my opinion there's no such thing as man to man blocking nowadays it's scheming to get your strength on the weakness which is easier said than done.

LSU will use the standard 1-2-1 crossover blocking scheme against MSU.
