I think the game hinges mostly on the O-line

The offense has got to score early hopefully to alter MSU's game plane. Should LSU come out with passing to try to expose a weak Bulldog secondary or, per usual, run off tackle. I think the latter has a good chance of getting stuffed initially and maybe all night unless the O can get the ball downfield with some passing.

I can see Dak causing a great deal of trouble early for the D-line and backers. They have to play extremely disciplined gap control to keep him from hurting them.

its definitely a game of the trenches..whoever can control the line will win this game..simple as that.

Yep. Same as 2013, if we can run the ball and control the line of scrimmage we shouldn't have much trouble getting the win but if we can't run the ball, get off our blocks on defense it'll be close.

What they had better bring is their A game.

Mississippi State’s secondary has been susceptible to the big play -- in the UAB game alone, the Blazers passed for 435 yards and had touchdown passes of 88, 81 and 75 yards -- and is surrendering 311.7 passing yards per game. ----David Ching espn.com

To me this is critical. Maybe the game plan should be built around this. If UAB could gash the Bulldogs in the air, LSU should be able to do it in spades. Backing folks out of the box with the pass will make running possible. We will see what CLM thinks tomorrow.
