Well sure, but he's obviously talking about game days.

I've got a simple idea that would really help.
Release an accurate map of closed streets and intended traffic flow routes.

It boggles my mind they won't do this. The current map is useless.

Biggest problem cops and various other traffic personnel are not on the same plan. You just drive in a complete circle looking for parking

Problem with that idea is that the "plan" is tentative and changes weekly.

When you think you know what route to take and what lane to be in, it's blocked off the next week.

I understand they need to tweek the plans. How hard is it to share the map with the people driving the route? How the hell do I know how to get home if I don't know the route? Not letting us in on the map only adds to the confusion.

After the SHSU game, I was cruising in the left lane on River Road all the way into downtown... Aside from a few cars behind me, no one else seemed to understand the idea of contra flow. I think it would have worked well had people understood this very simple concept and utilized it.

If you ride a bike, you have no parking problem.

Old habits die hard. Contraflow goes against our natural tendencies as much as driving on the left side of the road in countries that do it.

Post-game. Unless you're looking for parking after the game.

I hope the people who can't get home because of blocked off streets respond to The Advocate.

Making Nicholson between N. and S. Stadium a pedestrian zone screws up those people trying to get to the MRB.

Local people who live close to campus but not close enough to walk can't get home timely.

Things were better before they started screwing with traffic patterns leading away from campus.

In the way old days, it took us 1/2 hour to get off campus and onto the interstate for the drive back to NOLA. We'd park by the Student Union, behind the law school or where the bookstore is now. Get on Dalrymple I-10 W, exit Louise, do a u-turn and back on I-10 E. Or around the lakes to Morning Glory and/or some back streets to Perkins to Acadian to I-10.

I still say, get rid of the cops, the rent-a-cops, and just have a few on hand to change the traffic lights back to normal. A longer cycle on green lights may make you sit for a few minutes but more people would get through in any direction.

This traffic plan makes everyone go the same direction regardless of where they need to be and that's where and why it's screwed up.

I used to have a parking pass next to the LSU police station and I couldn't get home which is south of LSU (without going miles out of my way and then getting stuck in traffic held up by roadblocks)
