What do you have to do to get certified?
How much do they make?
Great time off!

All you have to do is tell the kids to sit down and shut up.

Kids should all just take Uber to school.

CDL, no pedophiles, and maybe experience driving other commercial vehicles would be a plus. CDL is just another driving test and passing a written test.

This is for a high school route in Jefferson County Alabama. All on public records so you could probably search for openings in your area or see salary tables.
Salary Range: From/To $12,258 - $14,293
And for the substitutes it is $55 per day.

I'm pretty sure I made that in high school waiting tables.

Why would anyone want to do this? I wish I could apologize to my drivers in school, I feel bad for them.

Drive Uber if it is your area, make a helluva lot more and don't have to deal with little shits.

That's what a few of my fraternity brothers did as their side gig while in college.

They considered it easy work and the hours fit around their class schedule, or lack thereof.

Don't do it for a school with behavioral issues. The bus is where the kids really act up because they're finally away from adult supervision.

Good point. My old bus driver always put on headphones and ignored everyone.

I have my CDL with my P/S with no air brake restriction. I drive random field trips for the school I work at (I teach one chemistry class a day). They pay me $15 an hour (from the time I leave campus to the time I return) and I get free meals.

No idea what daily bus drivers make.
