Why does Dan Day use so many sound effects on 104.9?

Anyone notice how much Dan Day overdoes it with sound effects on his ad bits? Anytime he mentions drinks, you hear something being poured or glasses knocking each other. If he mentions golf, it's always the ball going in the hole. He's starting to stretch now though. He mentioned some website the other day and he actually put the sound of typing on a keyboard.
