Have an apt next week ... don't really know anyone who's been to him BUT the other guy in the group I originally wanted to see is out for 3 weeks.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have never seen him but I saw Dr. Penton there yesterday. They are all great doctors there. Who did you want to see? Duvall?

Only because I'd seen him before. I didn't know if they frowned on switching or whatever but the scheduling lady talked with both of them and Duval said he was fine with it and Perry said the same. Also told me Duval said to let me know that Perry did surgery on him (Duval) ... guess that makes me feel better?
Saw LeBlanc there for my son .. wrist fracture. Thanks.

I usually see whoever can the fastest. They are so busy I don't think it really matters. They seem to all work well together.

Excellent doc. As is everyone in that group. No need to worry.

Thanks ... I just couldn't see waiting 3 weeks.

No you shouldn't have to wait 3 weeks. That is crazy.

Well I was told Duval was going to be out of town beginning tomorrow until October 7. Glad I had another option. It's not life or death BUT I would like a plan of action sooner rather than later.

I see Perry regularly. He's great and he's an ex Tiger.
You should have no issues and you're in good hands.
Ask him how big his oldest son is.

Dr. Perry is a former LSU Tiger offensive lineman in the late 90's Dinardo teams. He operated on my shoulder back in 2005.

I knew that and being a doc, figured he was an offensive lineman.
Hope it helps that I'm a huge Tiger fan ... my biggest pet peeve is docs who DO NOT listen. I'm female and do not need to be catered to or ta-tad BUT I do want someone to listen and not brush me off. Yes, there are those docs out there and I really don't care for them.

Yes there was one in that group a few years ago that I would never go back too. The $$$$$ started getting to him and he changed dramatically.

Hmmm ... seriously, I do have to say Duval was quick to offer surgery for my issue while a 2nd opinion received was it wasn't need at this time.
Is Perry quick to send people under the knife??? I hope not!

I can't answer that for you.
Tell him the opinions you got, and he will probably find at least partial agreement with them. Then ask for his recommendation for you, based on your activity level and fitness goals.
Be honest. Be clear about your hesitation based on differing opinions. Then be his partner in making an objective decision as you consider the short term and long term risks vs benefits of the options.

lol at the activity and fitness goals ... I've got the St. Jude's half marathon in December that I've been fundraising for -- like taken people's money -- and don't feel like I can back out. I'm registered for a full in January (the half is in the training plan) and then in March I have another half. Yes, I'm nuts.
I'm hoping he can at least drain the cysts that SEEM to be causing the issue per my referring doctor and then evaluate after that.
For me the issue is what may be the decision to clean knees out or not -- ded has been met and $5600 is nothing to sneeze at should it end up being needed say next spring. Guess time will tell - I'm looking forward to meeting him.
Thanks. Btw, is your son playing with the band in Kaplan soon?

I was expecting like 7"0 or something. I was 6"5 in 8th grade but I never grew another inch.
