What do ya'll think about how LSU's football program has represented itself over the past decade or so?

Watching old game highlights and thinking back, it seemed like a lot of the other SEC programs (and their coaches) tend to act like complete dicks:

Auburn and the cigar game in 1999,
Auburn stomping on the eye on senior night 2001,
Brandon Spikes punting the ball into the stands after a pick six during a blow out in 2008.
Florida stomping on the eye in 2007 and 2009.
Tennessee planting the flag at mid field after the Hurricane Rita game in 2005,
Derek Dooley refusing to shake hands with Les after the Incompetence Bowl in 2010,
Petrino cursing at Les in 2011.

Maybe we just bring out the worst in people, or maybe I'm a homer that doesn't see LSU doing this stuff. Do ya'll remember any time when LSU has done this type of garbage or any instances of other teams I didn't mention?

Off-the-field behavior matters too. Class doesn't exist in a vacuum. LSU-related folks have had at least their fair share of incidents over the past decade.

I think it was a bullshite call, but the first taunting penalty in college football went against our kicker.

And as soccerfut mentioned, off-the-field incidents.

LSU vs Miami Peach Bowl - Huge fight after we dominated. Xavier Carter was seen using his helmet as a weapon.

Ha, that was awesome. That was also the jump pass game where Les tried to rub it in Florida's face a little bit.

said it here before, as much as we'd like to think otherwise, there are elements on our football team(s) that some of the other players and maybe even coaches are afraid to mess with and give them a pretty wide berth

The student section alone makes this a really stupid question.

Bowe was from Miami and was taunting his buddies who he grew up with and the team that did not offer him a scholarship. Not classless at all, more like friendly rivalry until the butt hurt started from the Miami Players.

Brad Wing, when a punter can taunt you during a fake punt for a TD you deserve to be taunted and it is not classless.

STTDB may not be considered very classy, but it is not the football team.

And regardless of the off the field shenanigans of our players, they are cut from the team if they cross the line. Unlike FSU where you can rape a girl and steal crab legs but still play.

So, yes, we have the better class.
