Our new Triple A club will be the Fresno Grizzlies

Looks strangely like a bear version of Toonces.

The team's home stadium is Chukchansi Park

Because having your Triple A affiliate less than 2 time zones away from the parent club would just make too much sense...

All the AAA players play for the big league team anyway.

What is the reason behind minor league clubs changing big league teams so much?

Wish they would move back to New Orleans or Round Rock. At least that's a nice park though I guess.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the same design firm. There was a great post on here that showed the logos they did for other schools, and they were all derivatives of each other

Many minor league teams are NOT owned by the parent club or the owners of the club. (The Braves are an exception--owning all but one affiliate--and the Cardinals' ownership owns Memphis and I think Springfield as well.)

So it's all a matter of $$$--can they get a better deal from another MLB club?

Cleveland, Milwaukee, Chicago, Baltimore, Seattle, San Diego, and the LA Dodgers have all had a AA team in San Antonio

Makes a lot of sense having the AAA club in Fresno, so close to Houston.

Well that makes about as much sense as camel eating blueberries from the hands of a midget in Alaska.

I'll just throw this out there...

I hope we are reading between the lines correctly and that the Stros will lock that down for a long while if they are heading the NOLA route. Fresno will suck for a few years, but if its only for a few years, its not terrible.
