Fulham have announced manager Felix Magath has left the club.

Dead last in the Championship, one point in seven matches, lost to Forest 5-3 yesterday.

Fulham was his 10th club since 1995.

ETA: According to Opta, Magath only won three of 19 league matches during his time with Fulham.

Kit Symons named as caretaker. Have seen a lot of speculation about bringing Danny Murphy in as manager, and I think that would be in haste. As a coach, as part of the managerial team? Yes. Love Murphs and maybe one day he could be the manager.

Go get Tony Pulis! If Cardiff don't get him first.

Fulham club website is very much struggling right now.

The grind of the championship might be too much.

I hope you guys don't end up like Charlton after they went down after being in the EPL for while.

So glad I don't follow Fulham... First year I watched EPL I followed them cause Dempsey... Luckily that didn't last the year.

Magath has or had the resumé. He was what the club needed, last three years lost so many matches in the last 15 minutes that it wasn't even funny.

Sadly, he didn't fit in at Fulham, and the kids haven't really done the job, yet. Of course he used so many different starting XI this year, that there's been little continuity. Guy has a good match, then gets dropped for weeks.

Symons has a history with the youth set-up and most of these players played for him, and quite well, too. MacKintosh needs to leave him alone as gaffer, and hopefully he'll settle on a starting side and we'll get some consistency.

It's not Danny Murphy's time yet. There needs to be a bit more separation as some of these kids were likely already in the academy when he was still at Fulham.

Think they'll let Symons ride it out a while or are they actively targeting a replacement? Wouldn't mind Murphs playing understudy at all.

With so many of the young guys, I DO hope they give him some time, especially if they tighten up and get a few wins. The supporters in the Facebook group are all happy with him, but they are casting their eyes at Pulis (of all people,) Moyes, and yes, Murphy. I think Symons had gone, hadn't he? According to one news article I saw, it said he was part of the Wales apparat. now. He should be home and stay, now.

I would like to see him at the club, and get his coaching badges and be ready to come into the manager's office at some point. His time as manager, though, has not yet arrived, in my estimation.
